Abstract

IN the majority of cases it is extremely difficult to obtain exact solutions of problems on the motion of a rigid obstacle (or rigid bodies) in compressible media in analytical form, and hence numerical methods of solution have to be employed using modem computers. In this paper a numerical solution of the problem of the motion of a rigid plane obstacle in a layer of compressible fluid when a given pressure acts on the surface layer is presented. The solution of the problem reduces to the numerical solution of a system of two integral equations.
