Abstract

In order to solve the problem of TZM alloy vessel moulding difficulties, the bending and stamping process of TZM alloy sheet metal was simulated by software ANSYS/LS-DYNA based on the theory of finite elements. The process of sheet-metal bending and stamping was analysed in detail. In addition, the forming limit diagram (FLD) of the vessel in the forming process was also gained. The stamping force was calculated through the simulation analysis. According to FLD, the potential defect locations in the stamping process were predicted to check the rationality of the die structure. The simulation results proved that the forming effect of the TZM alloy vessel was excellent and that the design of the die structure was fully reasonable and complied with the technology requirements. Finally, the effects of friction coefficient and the drawing velocity on the forming quality were discussed. Then optimal technical parameters were proposed, which could provide a reference for actual production.
