Abstract

Dynamics of gravity-capillary deep water waves is studied within the framework of potential Euler equations with parameterizations for wind forcing and viscous decay. Conformal mapping based technique for two dimensions and its generalization for weakly three-dimensional waves are employed to model evolution of nonlinear decimeter-range waves and generation of parasitic capillary ripples.
