Abstract

A k- e -kp multi-fluid model is stated and adopted to simulate swirling gas-solid two phase flow. A particle-laden flow from a center tube and a swirling air stream from the coaxial annular enter the test section. A series of numerical simulations of the two-phase flow are performed based on 30 µ m, 45 µ m, 60 µ m diameter particles respectively. The results fit well with published experimental data.
