Abstract

In this paper, the supercontinuum (SC) based on microstructure fiber is studied numerically. The propagation equation of pulse in optical fiber which is nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) is proposed, and the numerical simulation of SC is carried out. The influence of these factors on SC generation will be studied by changing the parameters of pump pulse, fiber length and dispersion. The effects of pump pulse power, pulse width, fiber length and dispersion on SC are discussed in detail.
