Abstract

In this paper, in order to explore the work efficiency of the thermal management system of new energy vehicles using PHASE CHANGE Material (PCM-Phase Change Material) for cooling and insulation, the 18650 lithium-ion battery pack is numerically simulated, and the working performance of phase change materials under different discharge rates and different temperature conditions is studied. The results show that the PCM thermal management system has a good cooling effect under low discharge rate and high temperature conditions, good battery temperature uniformity, and the efficiency needs to be improved under high discharge rate and low temperature conditions.
