Abstract

Multiphase flow is an important problem in crude oil transportation because crude oil transportation involves the flow of crude oil and water in pipelines. Transportation of crude oil involves safety, efficiency and cost. Fluent software was used for numerical simulation in this paper. The melting flow characteristics of crude oil in pipelines under different flow rates and water temperatures. The changes of temperature and liquid phase ratio at the center point of crude oil with time were monitored and analyzed.
