Abstract
In this work a two-phase lattice Boltzmann model is adopted to simulate the liquid–vapor flows in this work. This lattice Boltzmann model is based on a pseudo-potential scheme, which is proved to be able to account for the liquid-vapor phase transition during the process of heat transfer. For the purpose of validation, the result of liquid-vapor coexistence curve is compared with the theoretical result. Then the problem of the formation of vapor bubble as well as its departure in pool boiling is examined.
