Abstract
The most relevant aspect of the mutual influence of a dipole antenna and a multilayer tissue model – the distribution of the electric field of the antenna in the layers of a spherical multilayer model – is considered. Special attention is paid to complex models providing almost perfect simulation of a human head. The obtained results are of interest not only from an engineering point of view, but from a consumer’s viewpoint as well, being related to the possible detrimental effect of cell phone radiation on health. The calculations were carried out for the most widely used digital cellular standards: GSM900 and GSM1800.
