Abstract

In searching of new ways for increasing piston engine`s efficiency, power and torque and reducing emission, this article reveals non-traditional problem`s solving – using two-stroke piston with valves gas exchange mechanism instead of modern four-stroke piston engine for improving such characteristics as power-to-weight ratio, efficiency and fuel consumption with emission reducing. Numerical simulations were made in two different programs: Diesel-RK and AVL FIRE WorkFlow Manager. All the calculations validated to each other. This is not only numerical simulation of some new piston engine`s construction, but also working method of designing and improving piston engines with such constructions and type of working processes.
