Abstract

Considering the different particle sizes in the circulating fluidized bed boiler furnace, the binary-component method is used to analyze the flow characteristics in the circulating fluidized bed boiler furnace. The particle dynamics principle is used to solve the gas-solid two-phase mass equation, momentum equation and turbulence equation using the two-fluid model. The model uses more mature boiler design drawings, reproduces the flow characteristics of particles in the furnace, obtains the shape of the lower bubbling bed and the fast upper bed, and analyses the gas phase velocity and particle distribution in the furnace under the design parameters.
