Abstract
In this research, the numerical simulation of a planar stationary near-wall turbulent jet using the OpenFOAMv7 package at Reynolds number, Re, equal to 9600 has been performed. Comparison of numerical results with corresponding experimental data on longitudinal velocity profiles shows the adequacy of the used mathematical model of the problem under consideration. This model should be used in further studies of turbulent jet flows.
