Abstract
We present the results of numerical simulation and experimental study of high-pow gyrotrons with recovery of the residual energy of the spent electron beam. The results of calculation of megawatt gyrotrons operated at frequencies of 110 and 170 GHz are given. A simplified method for calculating gyrotrons with energy recovery in the case of partial reflection of the electron beam is discussed. The method and results of experimental studies of gyrotrons with energy recovery are described and compared with the calculation data.
