Abstract

Based on the mechanism of mass and heat transfer and interaction of the particles and air in drying tube, the mathematic model of Pneumatic drying process in a straight horizontal tube was established. According to the characteristics of the model, the equations were solved by Runge-Kutta integration method. Then, by the analysis of the factors influencing the drying of the straw fuel in the process, the most important one summed up in Pneumatic drying was the mass flux of hot air. This correctness of the model and factorial analysis has been proved by experiments. The analysis of the Pneumatic drying process in the method of orthogonal experiment led to the conclusion that the primary role in the process is the mass flux of hot air and then its temperature and the diameter of the drying tube.
