Abstract

A study was made of the spatial distribution of the parameters of an XeCl excimer laser with a self-sustained discharge between cylindrical coaxial electrodes. Under quasisteady conditions the electric field in the discharge gap was practically homogeneous. In spite of this, the dependence of the laser photon flux density on the radius was proportional to r???2.
