Abstract

Abstract We present a tunable reflectance control structure with graphene split-ring resonator (GSRR). Split ring resonator (SRR) metasurface structure is formed with the single-layered graphene sheet. The structure is excited with the transverse electric mode of the terahertz frequency range. SRR structure is actively tunable for the different values of Fermi voltage of graphene metasurface. Mainly the transmittance, reflectance, wide-angle incidence, effective refractive index and phase response are investigated for the proposed metasurface structure. Also, all responses of the structure are analysed for various geometrical parameters. Proposed structure provides a high amplitude of 98% reflectance at different frequency values. GSRR is simulated through FEM computational methods. This research work opens the door to develop basic elements such as modulator, polariser, sensor and THz devices.
