Abstract
The Wilkins method is modified for numerically investigating the dynamics of thick-walled cylindrical shells with a helical orthotropy. The results of calculations by this algorithm agree well with known analytical solutions. Some new physical effects, which are absent in isotropic and cylindrically orthotropic shells, are investigated.
