Abstract

The numerical investigation in continuous wave (CW) end-pumped Tm, Ho:YLF solid-state lasers has been made in this paper. Considering Gaussian distribution of pump laser and output laser, we give a set of rate equations for the Tm-Ho co-doped system and solve them in steady state. We demonstrate the influence of crystal length, ion doped concentration, output mirror transmission and cavity length on the Tm, Ho:YLF laser. Also, we investigate the influence of energy transfer upconversion (ETU) on the optimization of laser parameters.
