Abstract

Taking CO2/N2 and water as a system, the influence of microchannel inlet structure on the hydrodynamics of gas-liquid two-phase Taylor flow is numerically simulated by using VOF and species transport model. The flow properties of Taylor flow in perpendicular inlet structure are firstly explored, and the simulation results are compared with the inlet structures with different angles. The microchannel inlet structure has an obvious effect on the flow properties of Taylor flow. The simulation results provide some guidance for the design of micro reactor.
