Abstract
In this paper, a new method of estimation of a convective heat transfer coefficient on a hot spot is presented. First of all, a complete numerical model is developed in order to simulate the convection on a wall heated at a hot spot. Then, an analytical solution of the configuration is developed assuming simplified assumptions. Finally, an inverse method is performed to estimate the local convective heat transfer on a hot spot using noisy simulated data. The results of the estimation procedure are accurate and validate this new approach of convection measurement.
