Abstract
A new procedure of potential importance sampling method is appliedto investigate the phase transition of the (1+1)-dimensional sine-Gordonmodel. With this method, we obtain the Kosterlitz–Thouless-typephase transition critical value of β2≅8π with arelative error as small as 0.4%.
