Abstract
Wave operators play an important role modeling various physical, engineering and biological problems. We consider an initial boundary value problem modeling an elastic wave propagation. We approximate the model using a Legendre spectral Galerkin method for the spatial approximation. We analyze the accuracy of such a spatial approximation. We perform some numerical experiments to demonstrate the scheme.
