Abstract

The response and reproducibility of the Severinghaus type electrode were examined by numerical methods. The diffusive behaviour of the gaseous component present in the bulk internal electrolyte solution affects the entire electrode system. That is, this solution makes it difficult for the electrode to reach an equilibrium state. It was found that with improving the state of the bulk internal solution, a steady state could be achieved in a short period.
