Abstract

A modified Dufort–Frankel method with relaxation is developed and applied to the static magnetization analysis of a magnetoresistive sensor, which is composed of a magnetoresistive layer magnetically fixed by a domain controlled antiferromagnetic layer, a nonmagnetic conducting layer, and a soft magnetic adjacent layer. This method is thought to be suitable for three-dimensional large-scale magnetic-multilayered systems. It clarifies the biased magnetization state of the magnetoresistive layer and soft adjacent layer with intermagnetostatic interaction.
