Abstract

Abstract In this paper, numerical simulation was used to investigate the dynamic heat transfer through an external wall with aerogel insulating layer under different outside temperatures. The distributions of the dynamic temperatures in the wall during ten days in summer were discovered. The changing trend of the peaks and troughs of the interior surface heat flux are similar as that of the daily averages of the outside sol-air temperatures but have a delay. The decrement factors and the time lags of the daily peak and trough temperatures of the wall were analyzed, which are affected by the maximum difference and average of daily outside temperatures.
