Abstract
The purpose of this study is to obtain drag coefficient of a circular plate with holes. Effects of holes on the drag coefficient are not understood sufficiently yet, however, there are some data about annular plates which show higher value than the circular plate. The drag coefficient shows larger value with increase of the ratio of inner and outer diameters. The drag coefficient of circular disk with holes are investigate numerically. The numerical analysis was determined by using FLUENT. The drag coefficient was increased with the increase of both the aperture ratio and the amounts of holes in model. The increase of drag coefficient was related to the jet ejection from the holes. The drag coefficient was increased linearly with the increase of total circumference of holes in a model.
