Abstract

Studying the development law of water flowing fracture zone has great significance in clarifying the law of overburden movement and ensuring the safe and efficient production of the panel. Taking panel 2301 as the engineering background, this paper studies the development law of the overburden fracture zone and the height range of the caving zone and water flowing fracture zone by using the research method of combining theoretical calculation and numerical simulation. The results are that: when the advancing distance of the panel is less than 100 m, the fracture zone expands slowly; when the advancing distance is greater than 100 m, the height of the caving zone and water flowing fracture zone expands rapidly to 68 m, which is in good agreement with the theoretical calculation results. The finding of this paper can provide references for similar engineering geological conditions in China to study the height development law of the caving zone and water flowing fracture zone.
