Abstract
Nonlocal collisional drift wave is analyzed in a current-carrying plasma slab with finite magnetic shear. Using the shooting method, eigenvalues are obtained by direct integration of a differential equation. It is shown that plasma current possibly makes the drift waves unstable, which are subject to collision enhanced shear damping.
