Abstract

This work used a numerical method to study the influence of such parameters as inlet pressure in the system, thermal conductivity of the bed, cooling conditions of the reactor and its geometric characteristics on the efficiency of a metal hydride hydrogen purification system. The criterion chosen for the efficiency of the hydrogen purification system was the alloy fraction saturated with hydrogen at the time when the hydrogen breaks through the metal hydride bed, the hydrogen mole fraction at the outlet rises to 3% and the losses increase.
