Abstract

The use of continuous simulation languages enables engineers to deal with dynamic aspects of design and operation of plants. Instabilities, which were observed in the practical operation of dissolved oxygen controlers in full scale plants were numerical simulated. Methods for model identification open up new possibilites for the measurement of operation parameters. Further research aspects are going to be outlined in the last part of this paper.
