Abstract

Due to their applications in cybernetics, computers, and mathematical logic, great attention has been devoted during the last decades to the study of systems of functions, in particular, of the class of functions of k-valued logic (k = 2, 3, 4 . . . . ) that are closed under superposition. For the analysis and synthesis of contact networks it is important to possess a complete system of basic functional elements, i.e., a system of functions that generate all other functions.
