Abstract

In this paper, we study the null controllability of a class of Newtonian filtration equations. Using the properties of finite extinction time and finite speed of propagation, we construct a control function in feedback form, such that system is exactly null controllable at any time T > 0 . If we put a nonnegative constraint on the control function, this system is not exactly null controllable any more, but approximately null controllable for a long time.
