Abstract

By using the imaginary time Green's function method, the nucleon-nucleon interaction of the chiral sigma - omega model has been investigated under the one-loop approximation. The effective masses of the pion, sigma -meson and omega -meson at finite temperature are given. We have found that the potential well of the nucleon-nucleon interaction becomes shallow as the temperature increases. At a critical temperature Tc (70 MeV) the potential well disappears.
