Abstract
The electromagnetic excitation of nucleon resonances is stidied discussing retardation effects and relativistic corrections in the integrated photo-absorption cross sections. The retardation effects are calculated using the constituent quark model (CQM), while the relativistic corrections are evaluated in the framework of a bag model with massless quarks. The influence of three-body forces on the theoretical strength is also analyzed.
