Abstract

This paper reports on the separation of 90-strontium from 90-yttrium by zeolites in synthetic radioactive waste solutions. This effect was observed as a result of using Cerenkov counting to monitor influent and effluent concentrations in zeolite column ion-exchange experiments. Comments on the validity of work using stable and other isotopes of strontium are made.
