Abstract
This report discusses the results of the loading and statics experiments for the PBF. Included in the loading experiments are critical core loading, operational core loading, control rod reactivity worth, in-pile tube reactivity worth, and shutdown reactivity. Included in the statics experiments are fuel assembly reactivity worth, shim rod reactivity worth, core void coefficients of reactivity, in-pile tube void coefficients of reactivity, transient rod reactivity worth, reactivity worth of individual control rods, reactivity effect of flooding control and transient rod shrouds, coolant temperature coefficients, coolant flow velocity effects, and power calibrations. The experiments performed furnished data which will allow the program to proceed safely to lead rod and kinetic core characteristics testing.
