Abstract
Angular distributions of protons, deuterons, tritons, alpha particles and 8Be ions have been measured for the system 13C+9Be at CM energies around 11.6 MeV. The compound nucleus contribution was calculated on the basis of the Hauser-Feshbach statistical model and explains the proton, deuteron and triton spectra remarkably well. Other processes must, however, be present in the alpha and 8Be spectra; DWBA calculations of particle and cluster transfer reactions give no quantitative agreement. The situation seems to be similar to the system 12C+9Be.
