Abstract

We illustrate typical experimental reaction cross sections σRwhich have obtained on RIBLL at Heavy Ion Research Facility of theInstitute of Modern Physics (IMP) at Lanzhou. The corresponding nuclearradii are extracted from the measured experimental σR usingthe Glauber model. Meanwhile, theoretical nuclear radii are alsocalculated using Relativistic density-dependent Hartree and sphericalrelativistic mean-field theory with Pauli blocking. For comparison, thenuclear radii of these nuclei are also calculated using the empiricalradius format in which the deformation has been taken into account. Fromthe given experimental and theoretical nuclear radii, we suggest thatthere may exist proton halo structure in 23Al, 27P and may existproton skin structure in 24Al. We also find that thedeformation plays a great role to the nuclear radii.
