Abstract

Recently, two questions raised by Sholl for the calculation of the nuclear quadrupolar relaxation rate in one of our previous publications regarding the magnitude and sign of the three-particle integral ${I}_{2}$ have been answered. It is found that the original printing error in Sholl's analytic expression which was recently pointed out by Sholl himself, and our mistake in performing this three-particle integration were the source of disagreement. The first error gave the higher magnitude and the second one the wrong sign for ${I}_{2}$. The corrected results for the quadrupolar relaxation rate are presented in this paper.
