Nuclear plant models for medium- to long-term power system stability studies

Abstract

CRIEPI and EPRI have jointly developed PWR and BWR nuclear power plant models for medium-to long-term power system dynamic simulation studies, which are being implemented for EPRI's and CRIEPI's long-term stability programs respectively, The models are extended versions of CRIEPI's previous model for short-term simulation. The models are useful in simulating the plant dynamics taking into account responses of the plant control and protection systems. The paper presents functional specification of the models, overall model description, newly included models for medium- to long-term studies and sample simulation results.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
