Abstract

The proton magnetic resonance of uranium(IV) glycinate was measured in D 2O solution. The chemical shift of methylene protons is explained by the contribution of both pseudo contact and Fermi contact shifts, showing the delocalization of a few percent 5f electrons to the ligand.
