Abstract
The nuclear spin lattice relaxation rate in the one-dimensional easy-plane ferromagnet CsNiF 3 is found to decrease exponentially at low temperature and is shown to be dominated by the spin wave excitations. Saturation of the 133 Cs line shift at low temperature is observed and correlated with the magnetization saturation.
