Abstract

Nuclear spectroscopic data for 10 known nuclides with A=190 (W, Re, Os, Ir, Pt, Au, Hg, Tl, Pb, Bi) have been evaluated and presented together with adopted level properties and adopted γ rays. This evaluation represents a revision of earlier Nuclear Data Sheets for A=190 (82Le22, 73Sc42). No information exists for excited states in 190W and 190Bi. The data are very scarce for 190Re and 190Ir. High-spin excitation data from in-beam γ-ray studies are available for 190Pt, 190Au, 190Hg, 190Tl and 190Pb. A deformed intruder band (K=0+) has recently been discovered in 190Hg from 190Tl ∈ decay (89ZgZZ) and a report on the existence of a superdeformed structure in 190Hg (from (HI, xnγ)) has also appeared (90DrZZ). BAPS 35, 1657, BC8 (1990). In 190Re β − decay and 190Au ∈ decay, better γγ coin data are needed to classify a large number of unplaced transitions. Further work is also needed in 189Os(n,γ), where a majority of reported γ rays remain unplaced. The experimental Q(∈) value of 190Hg ∈ decay needs to be confirmed. The information on the decay of 190Tl to 190Hg is also incomplete, although work is in progress (88KoZW,89ZgZZ,89ZgZY). The following nuclides have not been identified but have been included in structure calculations: 190Yb (85He14,84Sa16); 190Hf (84Sa16); 190Po (77Ma14).
