Abstract

The present article is a study on the kinetics of two Chinese ancient picto-ideograms in connection with certain corporal behaviors. Semantically speaking, the two individual characters chosen for analysis represent lexical items of particular interest: se <& [ & ] sexuality and nil ^ [-&r] woman.. It will be shown that the formation of these two characters was motivated by corporal postures.
