Abstract

The low-complexity regions with random distribution are essential in coordinating the genome function in health and disease. We therefore, developed a user-friendly standalone software “nTrackAnnotator” with graphical user interface (GUI), to identify low-complexity regions containing DNA sequences of selected nucleotide(s) and to annotate the data with the support of NCBI/Genome database. nTrackAnnotator implements window-shift algorithm that is developed for Windows platform using C# 4.0 object oriented programming language at .NET Framework 4.0. The search results for biased composition of genomic sequences using nTrackAnnotator can be of great help in understanding the disease pathogenesis.
