Abstract

 This article consists of a diagnosis and in-depth analysis of the factors that influenced the change in the field of library studies in Poland based on the example of a selected academic center with a long tradition of library education, together with an attempt to evaluate the current field of study. The article presents the results of research in which an attempt was made to find an answer to the following question: Are the didactic offering in the field of information management and second-degree digital publishing at the Institute of Information Sciences of the Pedagogical University in Krakow tailored to the needs and expectations of the recipients to whom it is addressed?
