Abstract
The paper is a brief overview of the geological study of the Novye Peski deposit (South Karelia) from detection of the goldsulfarsenide manifestation to the stages of prospecting and evaluation. The results of trial operation of the pilot industrial quarry are analyzed. The features of the geological structure of the deposit are associated with the composite Ulyaleg structure of the Vedlozero-Segozero greenstone belt of the Fennoscandian Shield. This structure is an isolated remnant of the rocks of the greenstone belt, preserved among the older granite-gneisses and young granites that cut through them, in the eastern Hautavaara-Vedlozero band of the greenstone belt. The gold-bearing ore in the site is localized in amphibolites of the Shotozero strata of the Neoarchean. This article is the first to consider the Novye Peski gold ore site as a composite one, which, alongside gold as main mineral, can yield other useful minerals from overburden rock.

Summary
Золото-сульфо-арсенидное проявление Новые Пески (Южная Карелия) выявлено при геологической съемке работами Карельской геологической экспедиции в 1988 г. [Сиваев и др., 1988]. ООО «Онего-Золото» проведены поисковые и поисково-оценочные работы в рамках лицензии ПТЗ 13897 БП на поиски и оценку месторождений рудного золота на участке недр «Хаутаваарская площадь». На месторождении Новые Пески утверждены и поставлены на государственный учет запасы и прогнозные ресурсы в следующем количестве руды и золота: категория С2 – 230 тыс. На основании отчетных материалов о результатах работ, экспертных заключений СПб филиала ФБУ «ГКЗ» и ФГУП ЦНИГРИ, протоколов утверждения запасов (ТКЗ «Карелнедра») и апробации прогнозных ресурсов (ФГУП ЦНИГРИ) [Ведешкин-Рябов и др., 2011, 2012] Управление по недропользованию по Республике Карелия (Карелнедра) выдало ООО «Онего-Золото» свидетельство ПТЗ 12 МЕТ 00014 от 13.04.2012 г. Об установлении факта открытия месторождения рудного золота Новые Пески, что послужило основанием для предоставления ООО «Онего-Золото» лицензии на пользование недрами ПТЗ 01649 БЭ от 04.06.2012 г. Были уточнены временные разведочные кондиции подсчета запасов золота месторождения Новые Пески и по состоянию на 01.01.2013 г. Примерно в 3 км к северозападу от поселка Новые Пески создана производственная база компании, которая включает лабораторию оперативных аналитических исследований, рабочую пилотную установку для получения рудного концентрата, опытный цех для производства щебня
