Abstract
Este artigo tematiza a noção de hermenêutica contextual, desenvolvida inicialmente por Carlos R. Padilla, em artigo de 1980, traduzido e publicado no Brasil em 1984 pela revista Estudos Teológicos, celebrando seus 35 anos de existência. Oferece uma leitura crítica do artigo em diálogo com a leitura popular da Bíblia, bem como uma atualização da discussão hermenêutica contextual, com foco nas noções de contexto e diálogo entre contextos, à luz da teoria enunciativa da linguagem, em diálogo com a hermenêutica de Gadamer e Ricoeur. Apresenta primariamente os aspectos teóricos do contexto e do diálogo entre contextos, introduzindo aspectos metodológicos básicos.
