Abstract
The aim of this study is contributed for the knowledge of Piperaceae in Brazilian Amazon. We bring eight new records of species of Piper L., a new occurrence in Maranhao, a new record in Amazonas and six for Roraima, one of them is a new record of Brazil. Important botanical collections of Amazon were consulted and two field works were realized. the species were found in lowland and montane forests, and two of them have a limited geographical distribution to Shield Guayana: P. bolivaranum (a new record to Brazil) and P. wachenheimii . A diagnosis, geographic distribution comments and maps of new occurrences are incluted here. Keywords: Guayana Shield; Piperales; Roraima; Taxonomy; Tepui.
