Abstract

The article addresses the topic of New High School in progress, from the so-called High School Reform and how this process seeks to institute a neoliberal counter-reform and a conservative culture in Brazil. Therefore, a literature review was carried out, whose main results are: the counter-reform of high school is guided by training in a flexible model, focused on the interests of Capital, seeking to train flexible workers and adapted to precarious working conditions. In addition, it seeks to adopt strategies to reduce educational “costs” and forms of privatization of education, through the fragmentation of the curriculum and the deepening of educational duality.
